Scoreboard Photo Sharing
PRESS: Minnesota Twins partner with FanChatter to offer Scoreboard Photo Sharing (via PRWeb, 3/24/08)
Fans at a game see and hear a branded videoboard message instructing them to take a photo with their camera phone and send it to a custom address for a chance to see it displayed on the big screen.

The FanChatter Stadium operator on site (this role can be fulfilled by FanChatter or by team personnel) reviews all incoming photos and prepares a collection of selects to be shown in one or more branded scoreboard slideshows.
Every fan that sends a photo receives an instant branded text message reply on their phone. This message may contain custom sponsor branding including useful product information, coupons, announcements, web addresses, and/or instructions explaining how to opt-in via text message for future mobile updates and offers from the sponsor.
All approved photos are forwarded to an online photo gallery which can be customized by team and/or sponsor. Fans are invited to visit the gallery after the game to view their photos, share them with friends, and embed them in their blog or social network profile, making Scoreboard Photo Sharing a true 5-tool brand communication player (in-arena, mobile, web gallery, email, and social media).
To date, the Minnesota Twins are averaging 159 approved photos received per game. When you consider that most photos involve two or more fans, that works out to over a 1% response rate. To see all the photos, visit the Twins gallery link below.

“FanChatter has provided us with an extremely unique feature that gives the fans the chance to enhance their experience not only at the ballpark, but when they return home. The Twins Pics segment has been wildly popular and generates hundreds of photos from our fans’ cell phones and PDA’s, but what really brings this element full circle is the ability to post every photo (not just those that get selected for the video board in our finite time frame) on to a website, so they can be part of an internet scrapbook that commemorates each Twins Home Game.”
